Bibliotherapy is very strong in my life.  I always look/ read song lyrics and find myself saying this really relates to a time in my life or something about me.  I am very self-expressing with music.  Even though i do not play an instrument, i express myself by listen to the music that i feel relates to the mood i am in.  For example, if i am in a happy mood i will listen to a happy song with happy lyrics and feel even more happier.  If i am in a bad mood i will listen to a dark depressing song and i will still feel depressed.  Song lyrics really have an effect on my moods and personality.

Another way i find myself doing bibliotherapy is when reading books.  I relate my life to characters in the story.  It helps me realize different feelings about my life when i do this.  I think that it is awesome that someone can write something on paper and it can help someone else realize somehting about themselves.  I think that bibliotherapy should be used today to help servely depressed people.  Even if a person is not willing to write out his own feelings inside, they could read other works of liteurate and find a way to relate that to their lives.

The greatest way i use bibliotherapy is after a breakup or during a new relationship.  I read song lyrics and find one that realtes to the reltionship status i am in currently to help me deal with my emotions i am feeling.  I am currently in a healthly happy realationship so one of the songs i can’t stop listening to is Come Away With Me by Nora Jones.  When i read these lyrics or listen to them it helps me deal with the emotions of love i have.  It seems like she is singing the exact words i want to say.

Come away with me in the night
Come away with me
And I will write you a song

Come away with me on a bus
Come away where they can’t tempt us
With their lies

I want to walk with you
On a cloudy day
In fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high
So won’t you try to come

Come away with me and we’ll kiss
On a mountaintop
Come away with me
And I’ll never stop loving you

And I want to wake up with the rain
Falling on a tin roof
While I’m safe there in your arms
So all I ask is for you
To come away with me in the night
Come away with me
